+ Filming has already begun on Twentieth Century Fox's live-action Dragon Ball movie, and Chow Yun-Fat is apparently playing Master Roshi. The casting doesn't surprise me nearly as much as the fact that this movie probably should have been made five years ago.

+ Following on the heels of the remastered Macross 7 and Macross Plus boxed sets, Bandai is preparing an HD remastered version Macross: Do you Remember Love? for release on December 21st. Two versions will be available; a single-disc version and the drool-worthy three-disc Memorial Box. The Memorial Box includes the newly remastered HD version (although remember it's still on regular DVD, not HD-DVD or Blue-Ray), the original un-altered theatrical version and an extra disc with commercials for various Macross products (like video games) and other bits of footage. Also included are two books, one 272 page book of production illustrations and a 576 tome of storyboards from the movie, the original TV series and the Sega Saturn game. All in a gorgeous box with new art by Haruhiko Mikimoto.
+ David wrote up a few posts about New York Anime Fest on his blog, Subatomic Brainfreeze. It actually sounds like a pretty boring convention, but I like anime convention reports that aren't just three dozen pages of cosplay photos.
